Technical assistance to the management of the agricultural development project in the western zone

The PADAG project targets support to some 55,000 households or an approximate total of 360,000 people located in Pole G, in western Guinea. It aims to support agricultural activity in the rice, oil palm and horticulture sectors. The project also includes components for capacity building, agricultural production processing and the rehabilitation of 270 km of roads and tracks linking Dabola, Faranh, Kissidougou Kourousssa, Kankan and Mandiawa. The project has a total budget of more than 30 million USD. Following the coup d'état in 2021, the project was suspended.
Sopex's mission is to provide the client with technical and management assistance for the development of the project.
The activities are as follows:

1Overall project management.

2Administrative and financial follow-up.

3Support for the procurement of project goods and services.

4Support for the infrastructure sector.

5Training and capacity building of project staff to provide increasing autonomy and eventual withdrawal of technical assistance.
